Help Please!!!!!Recovery E: delete files

My computere asked me to do a back up, so i did it, now I need to delete everything on Recovery E, their is not enough space available for the back up i started. Help!!!! Please!!!

Did you try to make the back up to the recovery partition? The recovery partition is used to restore your system to its original state, not as a back up space just FYI.

I would cancel the back up and restart it. Have it back it up to an external hard drive or some external media.

I already did the back up, and yes, i did use my recover partition for the back-up. It was my first time doing it, so I did not know what I was doing. How can I delete, or undo the back-up I did in the recover partition, without messing everything up, and when I do a reinstall of windows vista on my laptop does the partition automatically delete, and start fresh?

Just delete everything that is not part of the recovery partition in the first place. If you are not sure, post a snip of all the files that are in your recovery partition and we'll help you sort it out. Make sure you are not setup to show hidden files.

PS: when you reinstall Vista, it does not neccessarily reinstall the recovery partition. It depends on the media from where you do it. An OEM installation disk will most likely do it. If you reinstall from the recovery partition, it will not. A genuine MS installation disk will not either.
