Windows XP and new Epson scanner

Hello,
I wonder if you could help me with installing a driver for my new scanner: Epson Style SX215 I use Window XP? The printer is working fine, but the scanner is not installed, it shows an error: " Could not find files required for setup".
Epson said it's a Microsoft error and they could not help.
I would appreciate your help.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for your reply.
I have already tried using the driver from Epson website, I also contacted their online help. They only advised me to clear all temp files which I did, then they could not help any further.

Can you follow these steps:

1. Open the start menu
2. In the search box, type cmd
3. Right click on command prompt, and select Run as administrator
4. In command prompt, type:

sfc /scannow

If you don't fully understand, then take a look at this:

Or just ask me.

Let that run (it should take 15 minutes or so) and if it finds any integrity violations, then run it 3 more times.
