display driver failure...ialm

my computer stops once in a while for about 5 sec as in my screen was totally black and when it comes back a dialogue box appears and it says something like..."display driver failure...ialm"...can u pls tell me how to fix this problem?
i reformatted my os (vista home basic 32bit) hoping that this could fix but still it won't solve this problem...thanks in advance and more power...GOD bless u all!!!

Could you please fill in your System Specs under User CP so we can help you further.

This is a driver issue, probably resulting from an out of date driver/generic driver/driver from Windows update.
