Hello all, I have a formatted western digital 250G HD. I am trying to install Vista Home Premium and I get stalled when it asks for drivers. I don't know where to get the appropriate drivers

when i attempt the install, the software says it does not have the hard drive driver. western digital says they do not provide the drivers. they said i have to get vista sp2, which i downloaded from a different computer. the problem is i cannot even install the sp2 because i have no operating system installed yet. i downloaded onto a flash drive the motherboard (asus) driver and it doesnt seem to want that one.

Go to HP site - find your exact machine model and download the SATA drivers.

you can get your drivers from HP® - Laptops, Desktop, Printers, Servers, and more support and drivers select the drivers and software then go from there on the tower type and so on

It's probably this you want "Intel SATA AHCI Controller Driver" ( search for 64 bit Vista if you are using 64 bit )
