Help!! ATI Drivers causing BSODS!!

hello vistaforums,


two weeks ago, i got my motherboard back from ASUS for RMA. i have vista ultimate 64 bit installed along with ATI CAT v10.2. all was well until this morning. i woke up to go check on a download when i found the screen was all blacked out. i tried moving the mouse, pressing the escape key..... nothing. i pressed the reset button and within seconds of the "welcome" screen, i got a BSOD. "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" i tried another boot. another BSOD. this time, it was "atikmdag.sys".

can somebody please help me?

Can you go to C > Windows > Minidump, zip up the file and upload it with your next post, you may have to save it to your desktop first.

I would re-install the drivers with the latest set.
Boot in to safe mode and use Driver Sweeper to remove the old drivers, reboot and install the latest Video driver for your card.

Also, check your cooling vents are clear.
