Hi all,
my synaptics touchpad installed in a zepto znote laptop 6014W stopped working a while ago and I've googled the problem VERY much, reinstalled drivers and all such things.
The touchpad had disappeared from the device manager and left a couple of weird devices in 'other devices' such as a root bus enumerator, mass storage controller, serial port among others.
I thought the touchpad was dead, but then I tried to just 'uninstall' 'disable' and kill every device in other I wasn't sure I needed. Then reboot and the touchpad worked again.
I write this because this site gets google hits, and maybe someone will be helped by this.
Method: uninstall all devices in 'other devices'
The weird thing about this is that these other devices had nothing to do with the touchpad when I checked hardware id and position.
extra for google:
"touchpad stopped working"
"touchpad not working"
