I was having a difficult time looking for a driver for my i900 and a 64 bit Vista OS. The following email may help someone. I would rather use firewire than USB but can't find where to download hotfix : 922498.

ScanWizard Pro V7.12 is the latest version of scanner driver S/W that can support ScanMaker i900 to work under PC Windows Vista ( 64 bit & 32 bit ) / XP ( 32 bit ) / 2000 system through USB2.0 connectivity.
If you want to keep your ScanMaker i900 work under Windows Vista 64 bit system through FireWire connectivity, by this way, you shall download hotfix : 922498 from Microsoft, and then install this hot fix into Windows Vista 64 bit system, after that, ScanWizard Pro V7.12 can support ScanMaker i900 to work under Windows Vista 64 bit system through FireWire connectivity.

". ), and then download scanner driver S/W : ScanWizard Pro V7.12 and its optional fil e! s : and its optional files : SWPHelp V1.031, Microtek Scanner ICC Profiler V3.10 and IT8 Installer V3.14 from there.
When you do S/W installation or S/W un-installation under PC Windows system, the scanner can not link with PC computer via USB / FireWire cable connection, or the scanner driver installation or scanner driver un-installation under PC Windows system will be affected. Please watch this point well, thanks.
Please refer to the following instructions, and then install Microtek scanner driver S/W : ScanWizard Pro V7.12 and its optional files into PC Windows system.
1. Make sure USB / FireWire cable not link with scanner at first, and then power off your scanner.
2. Remove old version of Microtek scanner driver S/W from your PC Windows system.
3. Download new version of scanner S/W : ScanWizard Pro V7.12 from Microtek website at
http://ww3.microtek.com.tw/eu/module...index.php?id=2, after that, install this scanner driver S/W into your PC Windows system.
4. Download Help file : SWPHelp V1.031 from Microtek website at
http://ww3.microtek.com.tw/eu/module...index.php?id=2, after that, install this file into your PC Windows system.
5. Download utility : Microtek Scanner ICC Profiler V3.10 from Microtek website at
http://ww3.microtek.com.tw/eu/module...index.php?id=2, after that, install this utility into your PC Windows system.
6. Download the file of IT8 target : IT8 Installer V3.14 from Microtek website at
http://ww3.microtek.com.tw/eu/module...index.php?id=2, after that, install this file into your PC Windows system.
7. Restart your PC Windows system again.
8. Power up your ScanMaker i900, and then make an USB or FireWire cable connection between PC and your Microtek scanner.
