Hey guys sorry first post isnt a more friendly social one but im having grief with the drivers for the geforece 9800 gt in vista ultimate 64.
I keep getting the nvmctray.dll & nvcpl.dll access denied error.
After reading a few posts ive done the following....
I have installed the latest driver off the nvidia site. 185.50.
I have tried the nasty file remover and another type of program of the same nature to remove all nvidia files.
I have tried to manually delete the dll files.
I tryed going back to windows version of the drivers along with slightly newer to the latest....
None of these have worked at all.
Still get the errors when i load up windows...
i occasionaly am now getting the shell32.dll and alot of the things on the desktop wont load at all. i cant get into alot of the personalization area alot of things just wont load when i click on them. games wont load anymore. is this from the display drivers being stuffed?
The computer is brand spanker, was working fine for few days when i got it out of the box and all thats been done is intall games to run have been played a few times and had no issues.
Computer has 4gb of ram
9800gt nvidia card
intel quad core 3ghz
450gig hdd
vista ultimate 64
21 inch asus monitor
Could anyone shed any light on what else i can do to work out why im all of a sudden having issues with the drivers? Would the direct x software be causing a issue ?

4gig ram
9800 gtx card
450gig hdd
24 inch asus monitor
vista ultimate 64
has no issues at all same age brand spanker out of the box same games with new version of drivers.
