I have a microsoft explorer mouse. Ive been using it for a while on my old 32bit vista machine. But now i have installed it all on my new 64bit vista, quite often it seems to lag behind alot. Im not sure why this is, as the device says its up to date and ive installed the microsoft mouse CD that came with it.
I am also having severe problems when using my Microsof Explorer mouse and special USB stick that is supplied.
I am using a Gigabyte mobo and a i7 processor.
On Vista 64bit, my harddisk freezes every few minutes and the mouse hicks on movement during normal disk-access.
I think it is not an driver problem: With my old Logitech mouse connected to the mouse-port I have no probblems at all. I think it must be an interrupt problem or so.
Well, I don't really know what it is but I suspect that your drivers are old and/or not compatible with Vista x64.
Installing the drivers that came with the CD is the last resort because they are usually a year (or a couple years) older than the mouse. It is to your advantage to go to the manufacturer of the mouse and try to get the latest drivers for it, better if you can find Vista x64 drivers.
Check your driver version and see if it is the same as the driver version found here...
