Most of drivers are not working.

Hi,

I have windows vista 32bit home edition installed on my laptop. From couple of months it started giving trouble. USB slot Stop working/Detecting. Now my DVD driver stop working. It saying new hardware found, need to install drivers. When I click yes it won't find drivers in system and even not on internet.
I'm getting frustated.
Please help

How old is the laptop? Have you ever had overheating problems with it? It is quite possible that the laptop needs a 'spring' cleaning if it is an older laptop, but other possible scenarios could be Malware infection, a corrupted Vista install, and other such stuff....

have you tried a recovery disc to see if there may be missing system files that is causing Vista to fail?
