Hi Folks,
First time poster desperately seeking some assistance please!
Been running Vista x86 for ages now, and with a view to upping the RAM and doing some serious Photo work, i figured i'd give x64 a go.
Foolishly i forgot to check availability of 64-bit driver for all my hardware before i did and have consequently run into a problem. I have a 'Buffalo WLI-U2-KG54L USB wireless LAN adapter which has been operating faultlessly since i gave up with my old Belkin PCI card.
However, there appears to be nothing in the way of 64bit support for this adapter from Buffalo.
I've spent the last 3 days trawling various web sites trying different chipset manufacturer drivers but nothing so far has yeilded anything even remotely resembling a working driver. Various pages i've come accross seem to suggest that the chipset in my adapter is either an Atheros 5007UG or a Zydas ZD1211B (which according to some sites are one and the same chipset renamed after a takeover?) or something else entirely. Frankly, i'm about to throw the ruddy thing out of the nearest open window but really dont want to give up on something i only purchased less than a year ago!
Can anyone out there help me? Can someone tell me for definite what chipset is in my adapter? or even better suggest some drivers for me to try??
