Acer Ferrari 4000 Mass Storage controller

Upgraded to Vista Ultimate X64 from XP Home and have a problem that Vista is reporting to be a problem with the Texas Instruments PCI-xx21. I have a ! in "Other Devices" - Mass Storage Controller. I have tried Acers X64 driver as well as Compaq's and neither solves the problem. Needless to say that the card reader is not working.
Any ideas?

Vista SP-1 cured the problem! I had to install from control panel as the setup.exe in the driver was stating that the processor wasn't compliant with the driver downloaded from Acer.
