New Hardware Detected all the time on start up
everytime i start up my computer i get the "new hardware detected" screen asking if i want to search for drivers now or next time the device is plugged in or never again.
now the only thing i usually have plugged in is a USB external hard drive but even when that's not plugged in the box still comes up.
also in the device manager there is an unknown device even if nothing is plugged in.
i had vista ultimate running for about 3 days before this started happening.
anyone know what to do?

May be a motherboard driver.
Try a restore point to before this started happening.
