Hello chaarvy. I don't claim to be a guru of BSODs (and I will gladly defer to any guru who deems to reply). In my limited experience, BSODs are often caused by antivirus products. How long have you used Avira, and did it seem to be working properly before the BSOD? I ask this because Avira does not claim to support Windows Vista at all (see http://www.vistax64.com/system-security/304411-vista-no-longer-supported-some-security-software.html). I suppose it might nevertheless work reasonably well on Vista, but I wouldn't care to try it myself. It also appears that some remnant of Avast was never uninstalled. Uninstalling Avira and reinstalling Avast might be worth considering, since Avast still supports Vista (but for how long I do not know). Are you able to boot into Safe Mode? Do you have a restore point or backup image that predates the installation of Avira? Also, toward the end of your event log I noticed some changes to Windows Defender settings (events 53346, 53347 and 53458). I would generally recommend keeping the old Windows Defender antispyware disabled to avoid conflicts with your antivirus. (If that wasn't you, then you may have a malware problem.)
