Solved boot time taking 1.3 hours to load followed by frequent freezing and crashes

i have been trying to fix my laptop (dell studio xps 15'') for the past 4 days. it takes 1 hour 30 min to start. and then when finally it gets into windows it suddenly crashes.
i tried to do the disabling services and restart but i kept getting win32k.sys BSOD after waiting for 1.3 hours (before the logon screen is displayed).
moreover accessing SAFE mode was difficult since the BSOD keeps appearing there too.

had used windows recovery disk to do startup repairs but even that didn't help.(unknown bugcheck 1000008e is what it showed and resolved)
finally i tried "windows memory diagnostic tool" and luckily after again 1.3 hours after the completion of the test, i could access windows.
i tried many times before to save a restore point but it gets deleted after a restart.

Am attaching the sfc log along with the other essentials you would require.

well aren't those given within the attachments i sent?
i haven't turned off my laptop from the time I logged in yesterday.
i wouldn't want to risk facing another BSOD and 1.3 hours starting time

I would save anything I wanted to an external hard drive and do a clean reinstall with an ISO from Ex_Brit (top of the page)
Download your network driver and save that as well (it will save you time getting updated after)

this is there error i got now suddenly
(as i said before, i had not switched off my laptop.)
Kernal data in page error
stop 0x0000007A (0xC0487480,0X21BF58C0,0X90E90D14)

after restarting i get a BSOD again as soon as the desktop screen appears.
(there was no 1.3 hours boot time now, it was normal)
0x000000F4 (0x00000003,0x8C36516C, 0x86641060)

When I tried to do an sfc scan from safe mode
it competed the scan and another BSOD
0X000000F4 (0x00000003X0X8B676898,0x8B6769E4,0x8665A060)

again in safe mode
stop 00000144 unknown hard error

now I am trying chkdsk in c drive with recover disk

i tried to backup and i get the error saying
Error-The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002)

I would buy another drive and reinstall Vista on it
I would also buy a caddy to put my old drive in and connect with a usb to copy and paste any files I wanted to keep
Once that had finished I would reformat the caddy and do a disc check on it
If it was OK I would use it for my regular computer backups that I would do with Macrium Reflect Free

as suggested i have re-installed windows
but now ii would like to know if i could install all the DELL drivers from an USB during startup?
i tried to do it from the desktop but some drivers were not correctly installed i believe.

Also , is there any way to remove all the leftover folders in the C drive

If you have the drivers and they are complete you could put them into a folder and save it somewhere on your computer
I would use Desktop
Then go to start menu search box, type device manager
In device manager right click on anything you want to update the driver for and use the option Browse my computer for drivers
Tell device manager to look in the folder you have saved.
That answers your question but it is not really what I would do, I would go to the Dell site and download new drivers

When you say left over folders do you mean the Windows.old folder that was created when you did the reinstall.
If you have any folders left over you have not done a FRESH install where you would format the disc first.

i had made a bootable usb and did a reinstall.
I thought it would wipe out the drive on doing so.
Apparntly there are folders in c drive other than windows.old
could u direct me, with the fresh install procedure.

You should install all of them however I would do them in batches. The last system I set up I installed all of the windows updates, then all of the security updates, all of the office updates, etc. Updates failed when I tried to install all at once. I would start with the service packs using the full downloads but I already have them downloaded.

I tried them all, even though it worked the HDD failed after 2 days .
I have installed a new 1tb seagate HDD. am just curious to know if there are any softwares that checks the health of the hard disk.
