Hello everyone, new to the forum.
Recently my latop (sony Vaio) froze repeatedly after about 5 minutes after starting up. I tried fixing it by clearing my "Windows event logs" using a batch command i found on this forum. I followed that up by running "sfc/scannow" 3 times as instructed. I ran CHKDSK after a clean boot and lastly i also ran a full scan using malwarebytes program. HOWEVER, now after about a few hours, my laptop still freezes, this time without any mouse movement. I also noticed that if i close the screen and let my laptop hibernate, it will also freeze a little while after starting up.
I'm drawing complete blanks as to why this is happening. Please help!
*I noticed that after running the command prompt for clearing windows event logs, all the files get cleared (not deleted) but 2 remain untouched. one is named "MSFWSVC.evtx" and its 1,092kb. The other files is named "Windows OneCare.evtx" and this one is 1,028kb.
