The shortcut virus on Windows Vista

Hi i am getting a weird thing, when i double click on a shortcut say ebay for instance,i get a box pop up asking do i really want to delete this shortcut??? I think its a virus but i cant find any forums that mention what i call "The shortcut virus" can anyone help???PLEASE

Download Malwarebytes, update it and make a full scan. Report back.
