Is there a setting that needs to be changed to allow 4 gigs of memory in a Dell Vostro 220 running Windows Vista home Basic? There tech support is telling me I have the right memory and it will take 2x2gigs of memory. It came with 2x1gig.I've tryed the new memory one at a time in each of the 2 slots, and they work fine.I'm using 1x1gig,1x2gig=3gigs.Put both 2 gigs in and if it starts, the minuite I try to do anythig "Blue Screen of Death".Any ideas? Is there a setting that needs to be change or a tweak.Dell just wants to talk about it...blah,blah,blah not us.
