My pc has been getting the bsod for driver_irql_not_less_or_equal lately and now it is unable to even start up so ive tried reformatting it and every time I try to reformat that it blue screens during the process and im generally clueless at this point any advice?

2. vista home premium is the os i think its 32 bit

This all started about a week ago it got a virus wich i imedietly removed and its all been downhill from here it can even start windows atm it will say \windows\system32\winload.exe is missing or corupted so Im unable to use the debug software that was posted here and i still cannot reformat it

Wipe hard drive completely using the Clean All command: Disk - Clean and Clean All with Diskpart Command - Windows 7 Forums

Try and boot into safe mode and then run a sfc scan here's how.
1. Click start
2. In the search box type cmd
3. When the popup list comes up at the top RIGHT click the cmd.exe and run it as administrator.
4. When the command box appears type sfc /scannow, notice there is a space between the sfc and the forward slash. Here is a great tutorial on using the sfc.

no i dont over clock i play ~3 hours every 3 days for raids usually its a college work pc and i use malbytes malware mcafee and windows defender regularly and it dosent have a model # i checked the auction printout
