Help!Can't reinstall vista os on tohsiba satellite L305D S5892

hello

Am desperate as I can't fix my laptop using the 2 dvds supplied with laptop.

System crashed so often that I backed up my files and wiped hard drive.

But when I tried to reinstall vista, kept getting following error message:

"windows could not locate required file winsetup.dll. The file maybe corrupt. To install windows, restart the installation. error code ox7e."

Pls. can someone help?

Shut you computer down.....Start it back up and insert Vista DVD and let it boot directly from DVD.
or Go to uninstall / Vista/and click on clean and repair.

Hi

I restarted & changed bio order to boot from cd.

The sys goes to the microsoft light blue screen but the error message keeps coming on.

Pressed F8 when restarting & tried to boot from safemode but then I get error:
wins cannot complete installation in safemode. To continue installing windows, restart the computer.

When I restart, get error message: CD BOOT: Couldn’t find BOOTMGR

Is the recovery cd defective? What should I do?

I have attempted recovery exactly following the steps on ehow website.

When I go into safe mode, I keep getting error message: windows could not load required file WinSetup.dll. The file may be corrupt. To install Windows, restart the installation. Error code:0x7E

What should I do next? Any suggestions?
