Hi,
I have a problem which many others seem to be having with Vista. Apologies for the long thread, but just wanted to provide all of the information as I was up till 5am trying to solve this and getting a bit desperate!
I've got a new Samsung monitor to replace my old generic PnP TFT monitor. Updated my ATI graphics card drivers, as I haven't updated them in a while. Hooked the Samsung monitor up, installed the drivers, restarted it, changed resolution and now the computer now just keeps giving me various blue screen crashes. They have been a few different ones from:
Error with sys32
System_Exception_Error
Paged_File_In_A_Non_Paged_Area
It is now just mainly giving me this error:
IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal or Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal
I don't know if it is a virus, the new graphics card drivers, or the new monitor drivers. I have tried uninstalling the latest ATI graphic card drivers and going back to my original version, but this didn't help.
I've noticed when it lets me get into Windows, it crashes when I try to access the log files in the winevt folder, or when the memory dump folder is around four hundred MB, it doesn't even let me load up Vista in any mode. Deleting the log files through CMD in the Repair mode helps.
On the few occasions it does let me load Vista up, I get this Windows error pop-up:I have uploaded the .dmp file here:

- the original installed OS on the system? Yes
- an OEM or full retail version? Full retail
- OEM = came pre-installed on system
- Full Retail = you purchased it from retailer
- What is the age of system (hardware)? 3 years old
- What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) 2/3 years old - Re-installed a few times
