Windows Explorer repeatedly crashing

Hi,

My Windows Explorer keeps telling me that it has crashed/an error has occured and needs to be restarted. I cannot really do anything on it because every 30 seconds it tells me that same thing. However when I log into my dad's account (on the same computer) there is no problem and the computer works normally.
What can I do to find the problem and fix it?
Any time spend on this will be greatly appreciated.

is there any way that I can get my files off my old account? because i can browse my files using task manager but i cant get the desktop through that. i have stored files in one folder on the desktop and i dont know where they are actually stored.

Does this still happen when you do nothing at all (ie don't even touch the mouse) Is it possible that it only crashes when you perform certain actions (such as right click)

Anyway, you should be able to get your files out from your new account/Dad's account by going Start > Computer > C:\ > Users > Old User Name > Documents

Are you doing anything that could use up a Lot of RAM??

For Example, Gaming or Making a Movie or burning a Disk etc


If so then that is Normal it is because Explorer does not have enough RAM To Run so it stops Responding

There is mainly one Solution with that and that is to Upgrade your RAM or to Stop your Activities and maybe you could try using Readyboost
