hp vista not booting, system recovery not starting

hey i have a hp g 60 notebook and the vista is not starting up on it. i have been using this computer for an year now, yesterday while playing a game, a blue screen came up and restarted my laptop. Since then i am not able to boot the laptop.everytime i try to start the laptop the hp logo comes up and then the screen goes black.

I have entered the start up menu using Esc and run all the testes in system diagnostics and everthing is fine there. I have also tried using system recovery and it takes me back to the black screen.

please help.

ok i got the recovery disk and tried restoring the system but it failed. any suggestions...

I'm not a great fan of the inbuilt diagnostics - so I suggest trying these:
