Hello everyone! I have Vista Home Premium (32bit) & recently I tried to do a system restore, however after it restarted I got a "windows cannot start properly"etc so I inserted my Windows Vista DVD & booted up, hoping to do a startup repair. The first time i did the startup repair, it said it was successful, so I rebooted. However when I rebooted i got another error(I can't remember it unfortunetly. It had the same message though [error: 0xc000000f]). So I inserted the Vista DVD & tried to do another startup repair, then it said I should do a system restore so i clicked okay. Then after the system restore(from the Vista DVD) when I booted up my computer. I got the following error File:\windows\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe 0xc000000f Windows failed to load because kernel is missing or corrupt
.
So I tried to do another startup repair, and it said "Startup Repair can't repair this problem automatically" or something like that.
I really want to fix this, so I tried some command prompt commands. /Chkdsk /Bootrec /RebuildBcd etc. but it didn't seem to work. I want to try the SFC command next, will that work? Or is there any other way to fix this?
My Computer won't boot up at all. Sometimes after I boot up it gives me that error "ntkrnlpa.exe windows failed to load because kernal is missing or corrupt." But i press "enter" then it sends me to another screen where it says "Windows Home Premium (Recovered)" then I click enter again, then it sends me to the Windows Advance option screen like booting up in safe mode/start windows normally/last good configuration etc. But when I choose any of them it sends me back to the "kernel is missing or corrupt screen"
I'm not sure what to do? Any help?
Oh & I'm running vista on bootcamp in a macbook if that helps. I can also access all of my windows files(pictures/music/videos/etc) from my mac side. (& they seem to be working fine.)
I hope I posted this in the right forum. I'm new here.
