Serious Issue With BSOD

Ok, so i was getting messages that i needed to back up all of my Windows Files and install a new copy of Vista because i had a Pre-Release version or something nuts like that. Anyways, i keep getting BSOD's with the following messages

END_OF_NT_EVALUATION_PERIOD

(Enter generic text telling me about saving my computer, whatever)

***STOP:00098 (0x6F6CA980, 0x01CAD1F7, 0x00000000, 0x00000000


I have NO idea what to do. When i look at my System Properties, it says my copy is Activated. I have Windows Home Basic Service Pack 2 V.286.

I have already tried Activation by Phone, but it did NOTHING for me. I thought it would work but to no avail. What can i do to stop these constant Blue Screens?

Well i decided to use my Dads upgrade CD and go from Home Basic to home Premium.. Of course this meant i had to do a Custom Install, and i have to reinstall EVERY SINGLE GAME I HAD. As well as download every single program i used to have (Not many,so no worries) I already dragged everything from the Windows.old Folder into their proper places in the new one and deleted the old one. But just so i don't have to spend AGES trying to reinstall stuff is there any way to get things back to the way they were?

Also, random question. Is there such thing as an IDE cable that supports more then 2 devices?

Click start orb and type "winver" in the start search, copy and paste the small window appears.
It looks like an evaluation copy of Vista, did you buy that or it came with the computer.

It Came WITH the computer. My Disk doesn't say its some Trial thing.



Thats what it says, but that makes no sense since it shouldn't be an Evaluation copy. Is there any way i can circumvent this? I don't have no effing 300 bucks for a new copy.

If you have bought it in a reputable retail outlet, you can take it to them and ask for a new Vista disc, if not I'm afraid you have to buy a new copy. I'm sure it's not 300 bucks as you said, look in ebay for something similar to this:WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM - OEM, SEALED - eBay (item 220581370339 end time Apr-04-10 09:54:12 PDT)

I've had this copy of Vista for 3 years. I got it back when i was like 18, so i have NO idea where it came from.

My dad has an Upgrade disk for his HP PC, and he says i can use it. From Home Basic to home Premium, will it work?

If your dad used the upgrade - NO.
If it is an OEM upgrade - NO - b/c it is tied to your dad's computer
