Quick BSoD at boot

When booting into windows normally all looks well, windows loading bar and such, then after that, the screen goes black, the mouse pops up, shows the loading mouse for a second, then the BSoD appears for a second as well, then the system reboots. I've rebooted multiple times to try to get some of the text memorized, I see: STOP 0x000000C2 (0X00000007, (something else). Below that i see: mskssr2k.sys - Address 91639038 base (possibly some other things). I ran a system integrity check, found nothing. Any thoughts?

i recently had a problem similar to this, but your problem is a little vague can you answer me these questions.

1. Do you think you got a virus (worm/trojan etc) because those can mess with settings and they can download deep into your framework where virus detectors cant find them.
2.Have you tried to install anything recently(going onto youtube and searching Free blahblah download and following those links, because those can come with hefty keylogs and remote downloaders which can mess up your whole computer.

I did get attacked by a virus the other day, it made a few of my antivirus programs not work. I first noticed that when Windows Defender had an issue, then Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware wouldn't run or reinstall. I've done a scan with Norton and Spybot - Search and Destroy; but they didn't find anything.
Edit: The virus that i got attacked by randomly redirected me to a page that said i had thousands of viruses, I knew that it was fraud so I just alt-f4'd out of it. thats when the issues came into place. I didn't download it, which is weird how it still affected my computer.

Next:
Upload Dump Files:
Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the contents of the folder. Then upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
{Left click on the first minidump file.
Hold down the "Shift" key and left click on the last minidump file.
Right click on the blue highlighted area and select "Send to"
Select "Compressed (zipped) folder" and note where the folder is saved.
Upload that .zip file with your next post.

If you have issues with "Access Denied" errors, try copying the files to your desktop and zipping them up from there. If it still won't let you zip them up, post back for further advice.

If you don't have anything in that folder, please check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.DMP. If you find it, zip it up and upload it to a free file hosting service - then post the link to it.
Then, follow the directions here to set your system for Minidumps (much smaller than the MEMORY.DMP file): Set MiniDump

alright i think i have your solution run it in safe mode if you can then install trend micro it's a very good anti virus that detected some viruses hiden in my hkey framework download that run a full scan ad it should give you the exact location of the viruses then after that write down all the locations and you type something into run to open up the framework folder (hkey) find and delete them and you should be good(: if you need further help email me at :[email protected]

My daughters computer has similar problem. Loads all the way up untill the windows wallpaper opening screen for XP Pro gets ready to come onto the screen then goes black for split second, blue screen with 3/4 page white writing for split second than reboots. To Fast to read anything. Will not boot into safe mode, no matter what mode you attempt exact same thing every time. able to use Spotmau Power Suite 2009 to do 3 of the 5 repair functions, all repair checks are good.
Backup drive unable to be accessed, Main drive saved what I could before doing clean install, this afternoon. Will let you know if I can identify what caused the problem.

I used that AV previously suggested and it didn't find anything wrong. I got some CDs so I'll upload some logs and run those tests.

my problem was that the recertified Seagate sata drive went bad and would not load. 2nd drive was, ide, not a backup up drive, simply contained files/folders from previous computer. Was intending to install another sata to have identical drives for both main and backup, but this happened to thwart those efforts.
Learned my lesson, will not buy another recertified drive ever again.

trend micro is good offline, but for deep probing try a program called e-scan/mwave;
eScan - AntiVirus & Content Security
Be prepared for anywhere from few minutes to a couple of hours, depending on amount of data on drive, does deep scan/takes time. Review all entries upon completion rathet that quantine everything.

I solved the issue. I made a restore point, then proceeded to search for the mskssr2k.sys file. It was under Windows/system32/drivers/ so i just cut and pasted it to the desktop, and rebooted. I was thinking; "What do I have to lose?" and when I rebooted all worked well, I was really suprised. It doesn't seem to actually be part of windows, because googling it turns up nothing, and Windows didn't regenerate it, if that's possible. So, problem solved.
