Unable to view mini dump file

Help! My computer lately keeps coming up with the BSOD. Tried to access the mini dump file, but it wont let me in. I've tried changing the ownership and nothing.
It wont even let me zip it.
Dell technicians are useless, have no clue on whats wrong.
Haven't added anything (software or hardware) to computer. Not sure whats going on. Last time this happened was 09/16/09 @6:00 est.

Copy the minidump(s) to another folder before attempting to zip them.

Are u unable to open the file, see the file, or enter the directory?

Thanks for the help, copying them another folder then opening it did the trick.
