My Rig:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+
Hard Drive:
500GB WD
RAM:
Corsair Dominator DDR2 4GB
Mother Board:
ASUS P5QL PRO
Power Supply:
BFG 800W
I am getting Constant 0A's (IRQL Not less or equal)
I have also on occasion got Win32k.sys Address 96EFAABA & 01's (APC Index Mismatch)
At first I figured it was a virus so after I couldn't remove what I thought was a virus, I reformatted
I now have Windows Vista Ult. x32.
At first I thought it was a hardware problem, maybe overheating causes the BSOD as I would only get it when playing Left 4 Dead or other high end games. Now I get it often, even while not playing games.
Some other Weird things that are happening:
Sometimes my mouse and keyboard will stop working, and when I press the power button to turn off my computer, it shuts down right away (as opposed to holding the power button in).
After shutting down my computer, I sometimes have to wait a minute or two before I can turn on my computer again because my monitor will not display anything but a black screen (even though it is on). I think this is because it's a SHARP HDTV, and perhaps something may be wrong with it.
I've tried downloading the newest driver for my G-card, but now I'm getting the BSOD more frequently.
I'm willing to try whatever it takes, but reformatting didn't seem to fix the problem. Also, will all of this go away if I use Windows XP?
Any suggestions would be helpful. Please help.
**EDIT**
I was looking through some other forums and while I already knew that nvidia G-cards have driver problems with vista, I found that there are many people with the combination of NVIDIA graphics with Corsair RAM (Some also had the ASUS MB)
Any way that this combo could be the problem?
