I have been beating my brains out trying fix a simple problem..................or so I thought. I'll spare you all the details and just tell you how I fixed it. After trying nearly everything, I decided to do the one thing I read about, but hadn't tried; change the port on outgoing from 25 to 587. That's it. I'm going to assume you know how to get the place to change that info. Well, I shouldn't assume; here is how to do it. Open Windows Mail, Under Tools ...open Accounts, Double click the account you are having problems with, click open Advanced and the page opens with the ports on it. Outgoing mail SMTP probably has 25, I changed only that to 587. That's it.
