Where To Drop .eml Files/Folder Backups Into Windows Mail When 'Import' Fails?
I'm about to use a tool to convert/extract 100's of stored emails from Incredimail to my external backup drive in .eml format for VWM. The tool repros exactly the folders from Incredimail but converts the email and attachments to .eml format.
On a test run Windows Mail Import function did not recognize the folders but I seem to recall doing this years ago and simply CCPing the folders into (I think) C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local Folders where they appeared as extra folders under a header "Restored Backups" - is that correct?
I found the method online ages ago and now cannot locate that web page to verify it.
I'm hoping someone with knowledge can verify this for me. It's actually for VWM hacked into Windows 10, but we wont discuss that...basically the procedure is exactly the same no matter what the OS.
Edit: Found easy solution, simply create the identical named folders and then drag and drop the emails en-masse from the backup to the folder.
