Solved Internet Explorer 9 does not work anymore

Hi,

When I try to start IE9 on my pc it hangs my operating system.
What can I do?

If I try to run IE9 with no addons, by typing "iexplore -extoff" it hangs.

For a test, download Firefox and see if it works. If not, its caused by other problems.

How do you think I posted this message? Firefox works.
Downgraded to IE8 and this also works but now I'm back with an hangy-useless IE9.

In addition, you can try to run the Microsoft Fix it for IE freezing issues and check if it works. Fix Internet Explorer add-on problems when IE hangs or freezes

Also run the Microsoft Fix it for performance issues. Fix Internet Explorer issues to make IE fast, safe and stable

Please post back with the results.

Those tools don't work, when I click to fix it it says that an unknown error occurred.

Can't run those tools in safe mode either but I can use IE9 in safe mode with networking, thing that I cannot do on normal mode. As I told, I downgraded to IE8 (this works) and then reinstalled IE9 (stopped working again).

Selected all options (except the 32-bit win7 option) but IE9 still doesn't seem to work.

Its corrupt. See if this fixes it
If this does not fix it. You should use the new account. Put your stuff in the new account if you want.
