When I copy a url from a browser (IE or Chrome) and paste it into an email in Windows Mail, the link does not respond to clicking. If the receiver copies the link and pastes it into a browser, it works. This is NOT a browser or OS problem; it's Windows Mail. If I paste the url into a message through my browser rather than Windows Mail, the receiver can open it by clicking. I have tried opening a message created on Windows Mail on my other computer running Windows XP and Outlook Express, and the link in the email is unclickable. Others receiving my messages from Windows Mail can not open the links, regardless of their OS and email program.
I see complaints on this topic going back 4 years. I find it incredible that Microsoft hasn't identified the problem and fixed it.
