A recent strange occurrence, when I open up Windows Mail and click on the contacts button, my Groups show up in alphabetical order amongst the regular contacts , however, when I click on Create Mail and go to the To, BB or CC button, all the regular contacts but not the Groups show up..Darned if I can figure out how to get them back there. I have imported contacts from another PC via usb and still not working...suggestions???
Not a computer newbie but this has got me baffled

Hello Saugen, wecome to the forum.

You can click on the "Name" column to change the sort order or click on the drop down arrow the right of the "Name" column to change it to.

I think you misread my post...I am not worried about how to put my contacts in alphabetical order, what my problem is, the GROUP contacts do not show in with the regular contacts...They used to show at one time and were in alphabetical order with the regular contacts, now the GROUPS do not show at all when you click on TO, CC or BCC..The only way I can see the GROUPS, is when you open up WinMail and click on the contacts icon in the menu..but once you open Create Mail and click on TO, GROUPs are not there

Sorry....Ok you can try this method

After you click the “To:”,"CC" or "BCC" button to bring up the Select Recipients screen, in the list of contacts (where it says Name, E-mail Address, etc.), click the Name field to sort it by name, group etc, it will cycle through different sort settings. Set according to your choice.
