Can not checkout after shopping

I'm writing for a friend who has a fairly new HP desktop and is running Windows 7 and IE9. As far as I know she did not previously have this trouble as I know she has done a lot of shopping online in the recent past. It's just been recently this has happened.

When she shops at a site, there is nothing provided for her to click on so that she can check out. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Does it have anything to do with IE 9?

To the best of my understanding, it's all sites. She was trying to place an order on Amazon; then later she went to her check ordering site and ended up having to call because she could not find anywhere to check out.

Have her try IE 8 or Google Chrome....

She had IE8 and then IE9 came through her Windows Updates and got installed.

By DPI, do you mean where you right click desktop/Personalize/Display Settings ... and for instance, mine is set at 1280 x 800? If that is set too low would it make things not show up on Web sites?

My guess is that she may have it too low because she likes things to be big.
