view & search bar windows mail -keep showing

Hi friends
since I got my computer with Vista
installed, I continually have to "uncheck" the Views Bar and the Search Bar
under Basic in the Window Layout Properties. I do not even restart my
computer or turn it off and these keep coming back. WHY will the not stay uncheck?

-i found the same discussion in google from 2007 -no solution, beside installing "live mail" which i do not want (from our admin. brink )

I think that the solution is easy, update to the most current Windows Live 2011
or you can choose from a dozen other email clients.

Why try to fix the old when we have new?
Before you install anything make a system restore point so that you can go back if not happy.

But as i wrote above, i do not want to install other mail program. i like windows mail and i do want to keep it.

Then try from another user account, maybe the account is corrupt.
If the email client is corrupt not much you can do.
