internet restricted sites

two quick questions...the first being I use spybot s&d rather faithfully. I noticed i can add its entries to my hosts.mvp list and they appear in restricted sites. is that from adding the hosts file or immunizing? is there any other spyware out there that can do this same thing whether it be via immunization or integrating the hosts file? i have like 5 really long blacklists from kis and deeptide, the thing is niether of them has the loopback entry and its like 1000's of ips. naturally i'm looking for a better solution, because i've only managed to enter about 50 lines in them in hosts file format! lol

also for the first time i read about the privacy configuration files, I forget the precise name but they are configurations that are similarly formatted to html. are there good premade sources or will i need to learn another scripting language?

i wanted to add that despite using s&d, which it immunizes for somewhere called doubclick.net it so happens that after surfing for a couple of hours on a fresh install (every time although it used to only be on vista 7 seems to have fallen pray) i'm cursed with that incessant double clicking sound. I'm unsure if this is a potential threat or not though, any takers?
