st started getting this error message on my mail for no reason

any ideas what is causing it


The host 'pop.tools.sky.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.
Account: 'pop.tools.sky.com', Server: 'pop.tools.sky.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

This error is commonly caused by a problem of the mail server (problem of your email provider) Go to that website and see if they report any errors. In none are shown you may have to just wait a few days for the problem to be corrected by your email provider.

Although I have found that it is a server probolem, here is an analysis by Microsoft for OUtlook Express. The reasons would be the same.

It is possible that the required settings have been changed by the email provider. Go to the email provider website and compare your settings against the settings as provided by the email provider.
