IE8 Favorites Messed Up!!

Hi, i am running on Vista basic 32bit. the problem is that when i go to add a favorite on IE8, this message shows up. C:/Users/Name/Favorites/New Folder/Favorites/New Folder/Favorites refers to a location that is unavailable.

is there any way to change it back to just favorites as it is driving me up the wall!! :mad:

Hi,
Welcome to the forums, try resetting IE8, Tools-> Internet Options and click Reset under Advanced Tab. HTH.

i have tried what you have said but still no luck. same message still appears on favorites menu

You can try removing IE8 in Installed Updates and download from here and install and see whether that helps.

Sometimes this trick works: Export your favorites and then reimport them from the bookmark file that the export generated.

yes, i have just tried these good suggestions but no luck. i just wish there was a setting to change the location of the favorites stored on ie8
