Problems sending out mails with Windows Mail: Error Number: 0x800C

I have this problem but with only 1 contact. The error message is:
"This message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail (SMTP) server. For Help go to Help etc. etc. etc."
One of my attempts finally got through and my contact replied:

"I have changed my address to [email protected]. I Am keeping this one open for now but will close it soon."

I have attempted numerous times to send to both old and new addresses but still just keep getting the same error message....0x800CCC79.

I hope that someone can provide a solution?

If it is just one address, the problem is probably not at your end. Your email is being rejected by your contacts email.

If your contact has two addy with the same ISP, probably your address is being rejected because your ISP or email provider is known to send spam etc.

Does your friend try to view the mail at the website or is it downloaded to the computer with a mail client such as windows mail?

I don't know but the thing that grabs my eye is that the Error says "the message could not be sent" That makes me think that the problem must be at my end.(?) This is the only contact that wont go through and even it got through once to the old hotmail address. It looks like the problem probably started when he got the new address?

Those messages are not always what they seem. Think about it, you can send to everyone except this one person, it must be at that end.

Lets think about it, again. All your mail is received, except this one person, at two different addresses. The only common element is her ISP (internet provider). I think they are blocking your email address. If you send mail from your computer (email client) try sending from your email website and see what happens.
