Unable to change text size using Yahoo

Good Evening,

My problem is I cannot change the text size using View - Text Size, while using Yahoo to surf the net.

I am using Vista Home Premium x64 with the latest updates, I think
I am also using IE 8.

I am semi proficient using the computer

I haven't installed any new programs lately.
I use the Yahoo finance program to view my portfolios, I have a combined portfolio that I need to shrink the text size so I can use the screen capture to save it as a .jpg for my files.

It used to work fine on Yahoo, it works OK on this site, I just changed the text size of this message, no problems.

Seems to only be when I'm using Yahoo.

If anyone can give me any ideas I sure would be grateful. It's not an earth shattering problem, just one that's bugging me.

Since you mentioned the method that you are using, you may want to try this alternative.

Hold the control key while you move the mouse wheel. See if that method helps at all.

If that is the method that you use, perhaps, I can still offer an alternative.

This is going to sound completely unrelated, but bear with me. . . I was told by a technician at Yahoo Mail Plus that many times Yahoo Mail functions don't work when there are too many emails either in your In Box or in your Sent folder. Try deleting some (a lot, if you have a lot) emails in your In Box, and see if that solves the problem. If not, try deleting a lot of emails from you Sent folder. Try again. Hope it helps.
