I have followed the instructions re. Internet Explorer 8, ie. Click safety, click delete browsing history, and it says 'please wait while history is deleted', but when I go back it's still there! Any suggestions please.

It may take two or three tries, if the history is extensive.

Hi Richard, thanks for your suggestion but it doesn't work. Have followed tools-internet options-delete browsing history, but at bottom of page there is no 'delete all', just 'Delete' and clicking this doesn't do anything. Thanks anyway. Anne

This is the method that I use to delete my history, sometimes doing it 2 or 3 times. If you post that this is the method that is used by you, I will try to find a method to solve your problem.

If you want to permanently and always delete Browser History as a function, you can try going to Tools, Internet Options, Browsing History, Settings, and under History, select 0 as the number of days you want to keep your browsing history.

Thanks but I've already done this and it hasn't solved the problem. It still doesn't clear the existing browsing history which is extensive and clogging up my PC.
