Hi All
I have the Outlook Express hidden file folder {F67CC53C-9C34-495F-918F-DACF472CE5BB} on my desktop in error.
Following some complicated (for me anyway) instructions I recently exported all of my XP Outlook Express stuff from my PC into Vista’s Widows Mail onto a laptop as a test.
This was to see if I could import OE into WM, I wanted to see if I could do this for a friend’s new laptop and it was successful. WM full of the OE messages etc.
However it was only successful to a point.
Because for my convenience I put the Outlook Express hidden file folder on my Desktop but it is now the only way that Outlook Express will work, the folder has to stay on the desktop.
If I put it back in the Explorer tree where I think it should be Outlook Express stops working.
Outlook Express is displayed but it’s empty of all messages and accounts, when the folder is again put back on the desktop it works okay.
Any ideas please
Pete
