A few days ago, Windows Mail stopped being able to send e-mails. This is what it said:
A TCP/IP error occurred while trying to connect to the server.
Server: 'smtp.att.yahoo.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC15
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No
As you can see, I use Yahoo Mail. I looked up the error code and got to this microsoft support page. The error is described as "Unable to open Windows socket." I don't know what this means, but I figured a firewall might be blocking it. I turned off Windows Firewall and made sure port 25 was forwarded to my IP (by the way I'm using a laptop on my home wireless network). I can't seem to find a solution. Please help!
