I have need in making a backup disc for my Google Bookmarks. I am not talking about the "Favorites" that appears in the Windows Internet Explorer (I already have that file backed up on a disc). It is very ponderous in having to re-install the Google Bookmarks file whenever my PC "crashes". I would really appreciate any help. Thank you...:D
Google bookmarks does not store a file locally. It is all tied in to your Google account. What do you mean, you have to reinstall the file whenever your PC crashes?
Thanks for your reply. What I am trying to get some info is: How can I make a backup disc of Google's Bookmarks? In the past when my PC took a dive I lost all my bookmarks, and I had to frantically try to restore all I could remember. I have quite a few Web Sites included in the Bookmarks & I would hope I could make a backup disc of them as I did with Windows Internet Explorer.
Perhaps you are confusing your browser's bookmarks with Google bookmarks. You should never lose your Google bookmarks, except for a server crash on Google's part. As for your browser's bookmarks, I do not know off the top of my head. What browser are you using?
I am not confusing my browsers bookmarks with Google. I use Windows Internet Explorer 8, & the bookmarks are called "favorites" not "Bookmarks" as does Google. As I stated earlier I have made a backup disc for my IE "Favorites. I was in hopes there was an easy way to backup Googles "BOOKMARKS"? Thank you anyway for your answer.
