The amount of data that you can attach to a mail depends on the provider. E.g. in AOL, about 3MB is the maximum. I guess they do that in order to keep their servers unclogged. But if you have a real large file, I suggest to upload it to Skydrive (50MB max./file) or File factory (300MB max./file) and then just send the link. The recipient can then download it from there. Both services are free.
ARR, maybe i misunderstood this a little, yahoo mail mail has 5 boxes for you to upload 5 files at a time, with a total of 25 MB..
So i thought i would try this again, now in the 1 box , i click on browse and navigate to the zip file, only this time it is 15 MB.
I click on attach files, then after a minute or two, i loose my connection, and it will still say attaching files, only they won't attach it will keep saying this for ever and ever, so i have to abandon the attachment...
Its fine with individual files though, you can send five at a time without any problems, But it does not seem to like zip files....
It not a problem as i have been using the file factory to send large zip files, and google mail to send zip files of about 20 to 30 MB.
I asked this question some months ago on a BT forum > sub forum "yahoo mail", now you would think you would get a reply, but i diden't so i gave up.
Maybe no one has ever had this problem before, and they don't know how to answer it, i'll carry on with a few more searches about this.....
