Forgive me, kinda blond at this, but I have a fairly new verison of Vista (tell me where to look for the version?) and IE8 running.
Moments after we installed it a few months back, there was a trojan bug thing that kept playing this radio announcer voice in the background, and we had a HECKUVA time getting rid of it. Finally that's gone, but even since then, we've had troubles opening up new windows.
About 70% of the time, I'll click a link in an email, or website, or what have you... and a new window WILL open, the address is visible, but it will just churn and think. Never actually open the site.
I will also clikc the "new window" tab next to the open one, top left, below my favorites bar, and THAT will usually sit and churn for a while too.
I have a google task bar thing on, the popup does not seem to be the culprit. My firewall is PC Tools Plus.
Um.. what else do you need to know?
I just want to stop copying and pasting every single thing.
