Hi all
It's been a long time since I've had any problems with Vista x64 but with the press of the on/off button this morning, I've caught up on all the bad luck!
CMOS had reset itself back to 2006, so corrected that and sorted out other problems with updates, etc. However, my Windows Mail will not receive mail, period: it keeps stating it's downloading "1 of 4 messages" then time's out at 60 seconds and asks if i want to wait for another 60. I've now done this for an hour and nothing. Tried the usual by going into my IP's site - BT Yahoo! - web maill to remove blockage but can't get anything on that side expect there's an error.
SO, I thought it was a problem on their side until I tried to download a small file from Microsoft of about 2Mb: the download reaches 99% and stops there!
ANy help will be appreciated as I'm about to face the inevitable and rebuild this absolute pile of c**p for the 6 time this year - I love Vista 64 but it's just too flaky!
