Redirecting won't stop

New Member
Whenever I try to go to GMAIL the tab starts rapidly moving from "gmail" to "connecting" to "redirecting", and this moves very fast and continues until I manage to re start. How can I fix this ? I created a new user and I can Access
GMAIL there but it's a pain to switch users just to access mail.
info: vista 32 bit, google home page, gmail is default

thanks, when the blank page comes up after I click on Gmail icon at thye top of the page (the folder tab ) where it should be saying "gmail" the tab contiuosly cycles
gmail, connecting, redirecting and an error message flashes in the center of the page
(to fast to read) and this keeps cycling until restart. All else works fine. Right now I am using an old user account just to access gmail.

Are you using a browser for gmail, and the google toolbar? where is this icon yu click on from?

I use niether IE, nor the toolbar. Just have to install them. be right back

OK installed IE, and g oogle toolbar. to change the gmail settings its in tools>autofill>pick your profile, and edit the fields to your current

went to google toolbar
tools>toolbar, did not have "autofill"
what was checked in toolbars was "status bar","google", and "lock the toolbars"

the gmail setting should be int the google toolbar but can you go to the icon on your desktop and right click the icon you click. click open file location and tell me what it is and where it is

thats the shortcut on your desktop right? does the shortcut give a "start in " directory

can use use the built in snipping tool (type snipping in search) to take a snapshot of the problem and upload it Using the attachment icon (shaped like a paperclip) to us
