My 32-bit browsers and Skype are not working online but My 64-bit browser is working

WHAT COMPUTER SYSTEM AM I USING?:
  • Windows Vista Home Premium with 64-bit Operating System.
WHEN DID THINGS GO WRONG?:
  • around the 1st October 2009.
WHAT IS NOT WORKING?:
  • my latest 32-bit version of Mozilla Firefox when connected to the internet.
  • my latest 32-bit version of Internet Explorer when connected to the internet.
  • my latest 32-bit version of Opera when connected to the internet.
  • my Skype.
WHAT IS WORKING?:
  • my latest 32-bit version of Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera when viewing a web page that is on my computer (html pages which I have made for example).
  • my 64-bit version of Internet Explorer.
  • my internet connection.

only 64 bit browsers wiil work with 64 bit Operating sysytems....

Each of those you listed have 64 bit versions

Set up IE 8 first and get it connected to the net by going to Tool/options...hit the connections tab and fill it in.

When you install the others after fixing up IE... it will copy the connection information from IE and set up automatically.

Personally, I would stick to having just one browser...most of them do pretty much the same thing these days

Thanks for trying to sort out my problem Clevo.
My system runs the 64 bit Operating system and the 32 bit Operating system too which is why my browsers and skype used to work on my system.
Each of those you listed have 64 bit versions

If I can get 64 bit versions please tell me which one will allow me to download flash player. because i am really missing watching you tube.

I design web pages and I need to test them in different browsers and yes they do pretty much the same thing, but you may be suprised at how they can differ as well.

There is not a 64-bit version of Flash. Eventually, but not right now.

Actually, I don't stick with just one browser. Example - I'm accessing Blackboard at UK, and the BB admin recommends using FF. Other times, using IE has better success. I don't use a 64-bit browser as there is not a performance advantage. I can't think of any site which requires 4GB or more of memory.

Thanks Lemur for letting me know. I wont bother trying to install anymore 64-bit browsers.

I don't use a 64-bit browser out of choice. I use one because it's the only one that works right now.
I think my only solution will be to get a shop to fix my pc.
