.sig extensions are signature files used for Outlook (and possibly other programs). You would edit a .sig file within the email program.

The .sig file extension is also used by Print Master ( PrintMaster.com ). I sometimes receive files like that from a friend. Fortunately I have Print Master, so opening them is no problem.
